Excerpt from bio:

“Joseph A. Caggiano was born in Greenwich Village, New York City in 1908 of a gifted family in art and music. His early training was spent with Madigan, and Tomlenson, landscape painters. He studied under Verdie, a portrait painter and A. Nelke, a ship and seascape artist.

For several years he had a studio in Brooklyn, New York.

He later became staff artist for The Pent House Galleries, 5th Avenue, New York City, for 15 years.

He retired to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. There he engaged in commission work with the Englert Galleries in Greeley, Pennsylvania until his death.”
